To put in new fluid? It takes 15 mins to drain and fill yourself. Just find the drain on the side of the block . Passenger side , including the main drain on radiator as well of course.

I don't think you get every drop out that way. Manual says 10.8 quarts.

I ended up doing about 8 drain and fills...only half a gallon comes out of the radiator.

I mean I had heat cycles between them...was it the correct way to flush the fluid, absolutely not. But from now on, I'll do a drain and fill at every oil change.

I did it when I was jobless, so I had time to do some maintenance on the truck. Right around 96k miles.

Still have spark plugs to do.

I also flushed the PS fluid the same way, bunch of drain and fills. Had the mrs get me a huge 200mL syringe from her work with some IV tubing, worked great.

The interval is 100k, and then every 50k after that. So yeah, you got some time.

If you get the plug on the side of the block like others have mentioned, you got about that much out. Including drain from radiator.
    I emptied 2.5 large bottles

I looked for a plug on mine, but didn't see anything that resembled a coolant drain near the block. Maybe I'm just blind.

    U have V6?

Its easy to spot if you look through passenger side above straight past suspension spring. Lift the flap and use flash light. Just a tiny bronze color head on it

Following up on this after my scavenger hunt to find the block drain plug.

I see a lot of posts in this thread being concerned with not being able to drain all the coolant and having residual, thereby contaminating the new coolant. Is this not what continuous drain and flush procedures with distilled water are for, or are the drain and flush procedures different on this truck? Drain the rad, refill with distilled water, run up to temp, drain, repeat until you’re draining nearly 100% clear distilled water, then you’re good to refill with your 50/50 mix. Am I missing something or are these trucks different than any other system?

You would have to drain and refil with 50/50 the whole time. Or your 50/50 mix wouldn't be 50/50 if distilled was still in the block.
