I was wondering if this was a worthwhile thing to do... Is the antenna stainless and the harness where it screws in aluminum?

Does anyone else have a stock antenna for sale? My got broken off by a turkey flying across the highway.. luckily the left handed drill bit worked like a charm but the mast is a bit funky looking from me messing with it.

yup... my bad... i have no idea how to move it. I thought I posted in in 2nd gen, i must have been on this forum looking for an antenna.

if mods can move it, there are a bunch of really helpful posts from others that helped me quite a bit.

I had the same issue - these clips are a 'one-time' use. I accidently put one in before including the mud flap and had to break it to get it out - very frustrating. My Saturn via GM had removable clips that lasted much longer then these. Also had the same issue with the bezel and bezel nut corroding and not be able to be removed. I like the idea of anti-seize on the threading on the replacement unit.

As someone who grew up in Vermont, this provided quite a chuckle and I can't tell if you're kidding or not.

I have this same problem, low tree branch snapped the antenna off. For the last year the reception has been fine, but I hate leaving things like this unaddressed. If the ex out fails, I'll probably just leave it as is vs. spending $100 to repair it. That's encroaching on the cost of aftermarket radios with built in antennas.
