    Did you tell them which setting to use ?

    Do you have the instruction sheet , because one version of it incorrectly shows the neutral setting exactly how yours were installed ,I posted a pic of that version and I was alerted to this by BGR posting " RONG SHEET , RONG SHEET " 10 times before Ben explained it to me in English

    Good Freakin Luck..... :rant:This forum is plastered with my posts concerning alignments issues with LR UCA's. Now mind you it's not the UCA's that are the problem, it's dumb ass alignment shops that at least here in Ohio, have no clue what so ever how to read instructions. For that matter they refuse to consider that they don't know WTF they are doing and after repeated attempts to explain the process of camber adjustment, they continue to try to spec the alignment using traditional alignment adjustments. Wish I owned my own alignment equipment.:rant:

    so true im a plumber and know 100x more then 85% of all alingment shops i have been to.....
    best is when there are like oh trucks lifted we dont weana touch it....
    i just adjusted the bj in the parking lots before said alingment and told them just to use the stock ones

    The guy doing the alignment also said after I showed him what was wrong said he could fix it easy and he understood the problem. Problem was it was a couple streets down because they sub their alignments out. He also said he could get it good without UCAs but I didnt want to trust him. I didnt like the feel with the stock ones at 1.75 even

    I actually stayed with the tech and coaxed him in the correct direction on my last alignment

    I did that too, but they were so frustrated by then that hi was in brain lock. I had purchased a lifetime alignment fro Firestone and told them up front what changes I was making to the suspension. After 6 alignment attempts, they refused to do any more and refunded my money. I told the manager if they would just listen to my directions they would get it done. The alignment techs just couldn't accept that a customer might know better.

    I got mine done at Toyota and the guy was great , he actually thought the LR UCA's were pretty cool .

    just remove castle nut to seperate the tapper and remove the bj boot and clean and repack with grease....
    this is also the best way to check for play in your bj......

    Okay gotcha.. Question. I never bought new LR UCA. Bought a set used now haveing to replace. Ball joint failure. When I get the new set I've been reading you have to assemble them and add grease. Is this easy to do? Do I need any special tool?

    if so did they warranty them?
    and yes repack them as best you can

    So they just called and said its all good now and that the camber is .4 both sides and caster is .04 or something. Is that good or bad?

    Post the printout when you get it. .4 Camber isn't too bad, .04 is more of a toe number. Caster should be above 2 but generally below 3.

    Ideally you would want your Camber at 0. (.4 is in spec.). your toe at 0 (.04 is in spec.) and your Caster at 2.5. Some guys like their Caster a bit higher. If it is above 2, the truck should feel stable.
