I am looking to install a Cobra 75 in my reg cab 2010 Prerunner. It is a handheld (not portable) radio. I wanted to simply run the cable through to a switch (like an aux insert) where I can plug in the radio when I use it and unplug it and put it in my glovebox when not in use. I can not, for the life of me, find a way to do this. Would it be a good idea to simply drill a hole in one of my blank switch covers to put the mic plug into? Is there a type of insert that is made for this purpose?
