I put Oside injectors on my truck last spring and had no issues with them. A couple other guys on CustomTacos have used them as well.
Also, Aisin makes many of the parts for our trucks that come on them stock, such as clutches and manual hubs. I' not sure about the injectors, though. I wasn't sure if you meant Aisin or Aisan in your post.

I think i'm going with these. They clearly claim to be OEM and have been cleaned and flow tested(details in listing). Seller also have 100% feedback.

Nice. I really think that will help out your pinging. Plus all that carbon build up reduced your intake port size by close to 50% on some of those runners. How's it going getting all that stuff cleaned out?

It's hard to read the lettering on the side of the injector. I'm really not sure if its Aisin or Aisan or something else for that matter. :)

I didn't work on it at all yesterday. I think its going to make a big difference too. I plan to carefully clean the runners that go into the head more. But its a challenge because stuff wants to fall down into the head. Any ideas?

Everything else is already cleaned up. Intake and TB look great. I still plan to get some TB cleaner for the thing that mounts on the bottom of the TB(can't recall the name).

The endscope will be in tomorrow. I'll post pics of my findings. I'm hoping for minimal buildup and no signs of any burning due to the pinging. It's amazing that the truck ran as smooths as it did with all the buildup. I think DZ is right on about the difference in the runners leaning out some of the cylinders. The nice clean and upgraded injectors will hopefully be icing on the cake.

What are you going to use to clean out the runners into the head? I'm thinking about stuffing a shop rag into each one, spraying a generous amount of Throttle Body cleaner in there and scrubbing with a small wire brush. Then pull out the rags to bring out as much of the gunk as possible. Then just use a couple other shop rags to scrub some more to get them as clean as possible. I figure any of the crap that happens to fall in will burn off once the engine is started up. It may just start off and idle a little rough while that stuff gets burned up.

I used an "L shaped" flat head screw driver as a scraper to reach in and pull crap out. It worked really well. Here is just some of what I scrapped out of 4 or the ports.
    20171118_135859.jpg

I like your idea of stuffing a rag in, then cleaning and then pulling the rag out. Scrapping the heavy sludge, then Supertech spray degreaser, let is sit, then small wire brush worked great on the intake runners. Make sure you scrape as much out as you can first to keep the amount of sludge to a minimum. That makes sense about stuff burning off if it falls in. I rigged up a hose on the end of my shop vac to suck out some stuff already.

Here is my lower intake all cleaned up. I'm very pleased with how it cleaned up.... inside and out. Upper intake looks the same way.

Looks really good! That manifold look like new! I ended up painting mine after I cleaned it. Hopefully it sticks will long term.

Thanks. Yours came out awesome too. I like that color.... they would match my wheels. :)

BTW, why do you have your intake manifold off?

Harbor Frieght scraper set had this scrapper that I filed a rounded end on. It should work awesome for scraping and pulling crap out of the head ports. :)

Nice innovation with that tool. Makes a nice scraper.

I had pulled it off when prepping to turbo and didn’t have much time then to clean it well. I had some time now so I decided to do it and also paint it to help clean up the engine bay a bit. I also was replacing the knock sensor as well which is right under the manifold

If you haven’t yet, you should replace your fuel filter while you have everything off if it’s high miles.

Do you plan to purchase new plenum gaskets? Wondering because you likely did so recently. I purchased those gaskets already but considering reusing the TB gasket.

I replaced the fuel filter already. It was a chore with the plenum in place. I still need tO test my knock sensor though. Was yours bad? Mine has never thrown a knock sensor code but its one of those things that could cause pinging.

Where did you get your knock sensor from?

I plan on just reusing the stock plenum gaskets, They're metal gaskets so they should be fine. I reused the exhaust manifold gasket as well and I haven't had any issues leaking. I did get a new TB gasket from Autozone, though, B/c my old one fell apart when removing it.

I installed a GM knock sensor. I did a bunch of reading on CT that said they work better on our trucks. I also swapped out the pigtail connector for it as well in order for it to be PNP. I used these from Autozone:

Thanks for sharing your gasket experiences.

I'd love to go ahead and replace my knock sensor while I have it all apart. I think I'll follow what you have done. Thanks for the pics of the boxes. Sensor is $27.99 but I can't seem to find the pigtail with the numbers on the box. I'm sure the store will be helpful... especially since I have the box pics. I wonder if the a better knock sensor alone would have solve my pinging. I'm really glad I have pulled the manifold though. ;)

IDK if the sensor would solve the pinging or not. I still think it was from all the carbon buildup combined with dirty injectors. But you might as well replace the sensor while you have everything apart. Hopefully in the end, it runs close to new again, whatever ends up being the culprit.

I got both the sensor and pigtail from AutoZone. If you have one near you, you should be able to just give them those part numbers to search in their database and they should come up. You might also be able to find them on Amazon as well.

Here’s a pic of the knock sensor installed.
You can see some of the carbon build up in one of the runners as well. Not much compared to yours but I’m hoping to clean that out today or Tomorrow

Thanks for pic. Did you cut the end of the OEM connecter? I broke the plastic the locks mine on, so that would work out well for me. Isn't it just one wire?
