    Hello,
I own a '98 Tacoma x-cab 6 cylinder SR5 with 240,000 miles. It has been paid off for 5 years and I am beginning to fall behind on maintenance due to cost. I've decided to take out an auto loan on the value of the vehicle, $7500, to do all the repairs I'm going to need done.

I know that I need a new timing belt, brakes, power steering pump as well as a huge list of small items like door latches and hood latches that don't work anymore.

My question is this, what other repairs or replacements should I be doing with my loan? I figure with 240,000 miles my truck is only half done with proper maintenance. Should I replace all the hoses and belts? Should I stick a completely new engine in it? Should I replace only parts of the engine that are worn?
