    Put Dakar HDs on my truck a few weeks ago. Were fine until I went off roading last weekend. Now they are squeaking like crazy and driving me nuts!!

    Turn up the stereo :notsure:

    This is a known issue. Wash the truck and if they still squeak search TW for "Dakar squeak"

    Mine haven't been too bad so far (about 5k miles on them).

    If they are squeaking right after wheeling, most likely you just have dirt between the leaves. Use a high pressure hose at the pay n spray or even at home with the garden hose. Get in there and wash the dirt out and the squeak will go away for a while, but it will come back, FYI. Known issue with dakars. Several fixes with varying degrees of work/$ involved.

    as an FYI, mine stopped squeaking after swapping the front bushing out:

    They're notorious for the squeakin, especially after getting dirt between them. Kinda just gotta deal with it now:notsure:

    yeah if its not the bushings, then just take them apart, paint them with grease, reassemble. Its a kindof a pain but cleaner than spraying them with lube, and probably a better fix than just washing them since they'll get noisy again when dried out.

    Aftermarket = maintenance

    Went wheeling again and now it's much less worse lol. They must have just been dirty.
