Hmmmm. That's good to know from someone who has the inside scoop. Maybe I should return it. I'm saving so much here that it's worth it. What is comparable to stock Toyota parts?

    OME and worth every penny.
Go on ebay. Look for a very complete kit...like new idlers, seals everything under the cover. the tensioner....everything. You don't want to redo this again and it has been in a pretty good bind.
Get factory parts....it's affordable going this way. Heck I'd even do the cam/ crank seals.

Nice. Already decided I need to return dayco parts. For same price I can buy OEM on eBay like you said. Not worth having truck for camping trip if it means having this happen in another four years. I was going to skip the seals since last timing belt job was 2012. Crazy thing is this was dealer maintained and look what happened. Dealer guilty of using cheap parts? Sounds unlikely. I hope this is the real issue, I can't imagine what else could be wrong with it.

This is not going to fix your white smoke issue.
    I bought my 95.5 pretty cheap , 2300.00.
It hardwire smoke, did a compression test, and had a bad cylinder on each bank.
Center cylinder on each side was cracked.
2 heads , and complete timing kit , knock sensors and harness .
    Also replaced the coolant temp.sensor.

I am in it another 1000.00 bucks.
    It is for sale .
