I have a guy buying my fox 2.5 with DSC controls. He doesn’t need the spring so I was gonna take them off, even will help on shipping cost! Will I have to break down the entire shock ( take the remote reservoir off ) to get the spring off? Or is there a way to compress the spring and remove the shock seat over the lower end of the shock? Any help is appreciated!!

A few mods here and there and counting....
You are correct, the spring needs to be compressed and the lower spring seat can be lifted up to reveal a two halves of a lock washer held together by a rubber o ring. Once that is removed, you can pull out the spring seat and springs through the bottom.

We strongly suggest taking this to a shop to have done with a bench style spring compressor. These springs are very stiff and can be very dangerous of you use a handheld spring compressor or auto store rental.
