That does work I can vouch for it! Thanks for the tip. I decided to buy a screwdriver that made it even easier (link below) last year; but I have a problem with tool purchase control haha. Being that I have a few family members and friends with Honda's, the impact screwdriver will get good use!

I can't count how often the OTC 6980 puller has saved my @ss.

    2004 Tacoma 4x4 single cab
Old thread, but I just did the front pads and rotors on my 2004 Tacoma 4x4 single cab. Drivers side rotor fell right off. Passenger rotor was rust seized to the hub. I tried whacking on the back of the rotor with a rubber mallet whilst rotating the rotor to even out the beating. Nothing with the rubber mallet so I got a big hammer and whacked a few more times whilst rotating the rotor and still nothing. So I got my pb blaster and sprayed with the thin straw as far into each lug stud as I could. Then I sprayed it directly into the back of the rotor onto the hub whilst turning it so it covered the entire inside of the rotor that was rust seized to the hub, and let it marinate for about 5 minutes. Then I took my BFH and swung at the back of the rotor again whilst rotating. After about 5 decent swings, freedom ensued.
