Help!..How do I remove the overhead console on my 2018 Tacoma TRD OFFROAD

    Help!..How do I remove the OVERHEAD console on my 2018 Tacoma TRD OFFROAD.. (I don't want to break any tabs)

    A panel removal tool would help. But I do agree get your fingers in there and pull down. You'll be good

    I think I started it with a flathead screwdriver, but it does just pop out. Work around the sides gradually if you are worried about pulling too hard.

    I didn't like pushing it back in place though. The metal bracket where one of the plastic tabs pops into isn't braced so it never feels like the plastic pin pops in but instead bends the bracket.

    OV Tune, Bakflip F1, Redline hood struts, faux pro headlights and tails, Meso: bucket, map and dome lights, fuse cover.
    Yeah, it just pulls right off. That's how I replaced my map lights. I pulled off the console and used a screwdriver to pop the lights right out. Much easier than trying to jam a screwdriver in and prying it out.

    I joined Tacoworld just so I could fix my map light, the bulbs would not come straight out, the tape trick did not work. Then the stock bulb popped out and fell inside the console, I ended up with this thread and a few others on Tacoworld —- pulling the whole console out and in five minutes it had LED’s and back up. Thank you Tacoworld!!!!!!!!
