So I washed and waxed my truck with maguries, a little got on my fenders and I wiped it off as soon as it happened but now theres a permanent white almost like chalk mark on them. I tried putting 303 on them and with the 303 it looks black again but as soon as I wash my truck the white mark returns on the fenders. Is there anything I can do?

Get a spray bottle and fill it with 2 parts water 1 part Simple Green.
Use an old tooth brush or small soft bristled brush and clean the area.

You might need to hit it a few times but it should come out.

Tape off your black plastics before laying a sealer. It helps prevent that.
I almost inevitably get that stuff on my plastics if I don’t use tape lol

I get Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax on my black plastic body trim and it wipes right off. It leaves the black plastic shiny so I usually wax all the plastic. Never had it turn white on me though. Done my rear bumper on my new CR-V yesterday while I was waxing.

The paste wax will stain it I have been told.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser will take the white wax residue off the plastic.

Pencil eraser or peanut butter will remove it without damaging the plastic. I am serious!

Not like the soy based wiring on the 3rd gen Tacoma is enough to lure mice to your truck. Good call!

Yeah so why not lure in the mice by rubbing peanut butter on the black body molding. You know, just in case the mouse does not catch scent of the soy based wiring. ;)

Anything that will remove wax will work

    Like mineral spirits.

You can tape off the flares with a strip of painters tape in the future to help avoid that.

And as you have learned, 303 is not the magical elixir many tout it to be. At best, as you have seen, it is temporary.

Peanut Butter's magical ability to "remove" wax on black textured plastic is pretty much an internet myth. What really happens is that the peanut oil masks the wax effects for a bit. You can get the same effect by wiping motor oil or ATF on the affected areas. Peanut butter smells better though.

As others have said, All Purpose Cleaner (with some soak time) and a brush will generally take it off. Just remember to re-wax the painted areas you get APC on.
