So next weekend 4wheelparts is having “there biggest in-store sale of the year”. Which is good timing for me since I’m in the market for lift and tires. I’m planning on going with bilstein 5100’s.. suppose to be on sale. Besides getting those what coils are recommended? AAl? Newbie to lifts.. tires will be buy 3 get one free so considering going with some falkens... not going to be doing any extreme off roading....advice and pictures of your set up with experience... thanks!

Buying from 4wp is fine, just don’t let them install anything let alone touch your truck. Most of their technicians have Jiffy Lube experience levels. Do it yourself and save money.

How much lift are you trying to achieve?

5100’s and OME 888 coils will give you 2.5 - 3” of lift up front. A decent add-a-leaf will add 1.5-2” in the rear. This will allow you to run 285/75R16’s with a cab mount chop. Otherwise, stick to 265/75R16’s to avoid any rubbing. If you are lifting over 2”, it is worth it to invest in a set of upper control arms that will allow you get aligned properly.

Strongly recommend buying through @HeadStrong Off-Road as their prices will likely beat any sale price 4wp has to offer and their package deals are tough to beat.

    Perfect stance/capability IMO.
    5100 front-3rd notch
    Stock coils
    5100 rear w/ toytec 1.5” block.

    265/75/16 BFG KO2.

Absolutely great setup for my needs. I tow a boat a lot, camp, fish, forest service roads.. no hardcore off-roading but it does fantastic on and off road. Little bit stiffer than factory.

    Hope this helps.

Great information. I’m trying to achieve exactly that.. around a 2.5” lift. And yes also trying to lift the rear a little... as for tires for now I’m trying to stick with same tire size. But good to know if I wanted to I can go up to 285. The truck doesn’t see to much off roading but would like the comfort when it does. Just checked out @HeadStrong Off-Road website. There not to far from me either.

Truck looks great! And I would be using the truck for just as much as you. No hardcore off-roading. Mines a sport so my guess when you say “stiffer” is in between stock sport and off road suspension. Gas mpg affected much?

Yeah it’s stiffer than sport and off-road but very daily drivable and comfortable. I love it.

My mpg went down 1 mpg with the switch to the 16” SCS wheel and 265/75 E rated ko2s. I drive in Seattle traffic and get 17mpg consistently and I’ve gotten as good as 22 freeway.

Your MPG will go down. From the lift and bigger tires. What Trident mentioned above is probably your best course of action. Billies and OME coils are super common on Tacos and they perform well for the occasional offroad adventure. Buddy of mine muds almost every day with that setup and he hasn't had any problems.

Agreed. Their AAL was the cheapest shipped even with CA sales tax and it was packed well beyond what it needed to be.
