Change to an 885 coil Double Cabs must have them. It might be worth a few emails to Toytec tell them your situation and they will help you out. They for sure won't let you go wrong they have awesome customer service.

Dang thats was fast. How did you get your self approved for the TSB that fast. I'm trying to get it done just haven't had time to drive up to Toyota, but maybe I should call the 800 number.

Nope, got a 3 inch lift but I'm running 285's. I was thinking the same way you are; how can I lift on a budget but like I stated earlier your better off saving a little more money and getting the good stuff. Do a search on this board on how many people are upgrading after having just the 5100.

How much should I expect to pay to install the 3" Lift With front coils & rear options? Plus** a diff drop?

cjimenrr: I'm going to upgrade as I go. Right now I'm not even getting the 5100's. I'm just getting the 3" coils from toytec. It's only 299. :D

    I have connections. Haha!

No, really, my sisters boyfriend is the manager of customer relations (the complaint department) and I told him what was going on. :D

My sister also worked for Toyota so she made a lot of friends while working there.

PS - I would call your stealership and tell them what's going on. They'll probably hassle you about it, but just tell them what's going on and they will set up an appointment for inspection. If you present it like you're knowledgeable about the situation, you'll have better luck. Besides, if you're really having issues, you don't have to worry about being approved.

Corey, when you're ready to install all this stuff, come to Mod Day. You've got tons of ppl locally that can help you out. I know I'll do what I can.

Another idea is to pick up some of the used stuff that shows up in the For Sale section. Whatever you get, make sure the fronts are already assembled (Coils on the shocks).

I'd imagine its just like assembling them on any other shock, but aren't you getting new shocks too? JD just sold his set-up and I sold mine a few weeks before, they would've been perfect. Assembled OME's w/ Shocks.

Oh snap. So I should just get these and buy new 5100s all around and get an AAL for the back. That would be kick ass, right?

I'm getting the TSB for the rear suspension tomorrow. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Just get them first and you can figure out what else to buy later.

You can ask Unholycumulous to sell you his AAL. Well, it might be for non-TSB, but I can't remember.

Just spoke with this guy about lifts at ToyTec. I don't understand why he said this and if it's true.

"Blocks do not change the ride the add-a-leaf will."

Is this true? I don't understand....

Blocks don't change the angle on your leaf pack. AAL will, but you don't want blocks b/c you take your truck offroad.

Adding a leaf puts more spring into the leaf pack, so the rear end willl get higher and a bit stiffer in most cases. The blocks don't do anything to the spring rates/springiness....They just go between the spring and the axle to provide the lift. That being said folks have had issues with springs deforming around the blocks (over time) and blocks breaking under strain/load.
