    Hello all,

Building the suspension on my 3rd gen. Came with a basic OME full kit (888's, Dakars, etc).
*disclaimer, I am new to tacos*

I plan on doing heavy 4x4ing and very light prerunning. My thoughts so far are:
-Custom King shocks from Thuren (used them in the past, very happy with their work)

    -Total Chaos UCAs

    -CMC

I'll be honest, what else would I need? Thanks!

You're basically set the way it is.

An expensive direction, when his truck is already capable with the current lift.

    Stock. For now.
How much taller do you want the thing. And what size tire you want to run.

I would go with the long travel kit and go with total chaos lower control arms too.

Depends on where he's wheeling, he hasn't filled in his location.

I'm not trying to go long travel...

    ...Yet.

It may be an already capable truck, but I think Kings will always help make a platform better in my experience.

I really don't care if it's taller. My understanding is I'll have to do trimming and a cmc to run bigger than my 275/70/17's. More looking for capability, durability and quality, especially on higher speed rough sections.

Trying to sanity check and make sure my basis are covered.

Details, high speed you'll want resivoirs and bypasses. Need more details.

You can read, congrats. I can too. People have varying understanding of what offroading is based on where they do it.

So your being way to vague in what you want. You have a truck with a height that can do a lot. What are you trying to do that you have been limited by the truck in doing? That would be question. are you trying to jump it 12 feet in the air, or go down dirt roads at 100mph ? are you trying to consistently go over 20" boulders or trying to climb the side of a mountain? you need a suspension that works for what you try to do.

I went full resi all around, i went with three inches of lift. and 32" tires. Why? because i wanted to be able to plow through the dirt roads where i live to get to the fun trials. My kit is mid travel so i can go over small obstacles without issue. I tailored it so that my clearance is higher than the boulders on 99% of the trails i do around here.

Kings will only help you if you have an application where your current setup wont work and you need kings for a specific task. So if you want to improve on what you have go big and go full travel, or stick with what you got unless you are being held back for some reason.
