Help me decide: Hard shell or softopper under bed rack?

I'm hoping someone can help persuade me one way or another.

I keep going back and forth between getting a camper shell or a bed rack over a softopper for my DCSB.

Here's what I'm thinking:

Bed rack with softopper:
- Lighter (~120lbs total)
- Bed rack is stronger to hold RTT
- Less expensive (probably $1500 total vs $2200+)

Hard shell camper top
- More secure
- More durable than the softopper
- More aerodynamic?

What am I not considering? I'd appreciate any input on how you made your decision from anyone with experience with either of these setups

EDIT: I find the idea of a soft topper with a rack over it pretty useless. The point of a soft topper is to take it on and off easily, but the bed rack completely negates that. Then you're just left with a less secure and less dry way of storing stuff.
