I have a 2008 DC 4X4 sport with the rear spring TSB done. I am ready to buy a set of 285/70/17 tires and 17 X 9 Moto Metal 957 wheels. I would love to buy the ultimate lift but its just not in the budget. What lift or componets would you recommend with a budget of $400.00 that will give me the clearance to run the 285's? The truck is 90% street driven with the occasional off road excursion on the weekend. No serious wheeling. I dont mind some minor triming. Those with similar setups I would love to see pictures. Thanks

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Some has tucked 285's with minor trimming on Bilstein 5100's set at 2.5". Your problem will be getting your truck back to alignment specs with stock UCA's. Most people suggest new aftermarket UCA's when lifting Gen 2's. I say either save up for the ULK like you wanted or do it in stages. Or even a few hundie more you can get a nice OME coil, OME shocks, AAL kit. Do it once, do it right.

still looking for suggestions. Will a 2.5" lift clear the 285's? Anyone with experience? Considering the best seller 3" with OME 884 springs 1/4 spacers and rear aal.
