Lol, right? It’s gonna get new powder coat, new bushings, just a good revamp before the install. Really wondering more about hard parts I’ll be missing

I'm no expert but why don't you see what is included in a new total chaos kit.

Steering linkage extension, longer break lines.

The only thing you’ll probably need is new bushings for the arms. Clean up everything and go from there. Then you’ll be able to gauge more about the shock repair / maintenance and uniballs. Same with the axles.

OP do you have 2rz or the 3rz? Tacomas that came with the 2rz are the 5 lug, 3rz came on the prerunner n that kit is for a prerunner.

I’m thinking I’m gonna need steering extenders so far. Not sure what else

Gotcha - I was just checking out what you were showing in the pic and seeing the condition - without cleaning it, tough to say what condition key parts are in.

How much did you pay if you don't mind sharing? It looks like it'll at most just need uniballs and bushings and a shock rebuild - how much other stuff (or even less perhaps) needing maintenance kind of needs cleaning and taking apart / inspecting. Don't get me wrong - looks decent so far.

it was a deal I couldn’t turn down. I got it all for $1100.

And I have a different set of coils and bypasses I’m gonna use up front, So the rebuild for the rears will be my first plan.

Do the LT TC uppers use the same bushings as their normal uppers?2338CF7F-E79D-4DCC-B8AC-ECAA6492EAAD.jpg2338CF7F-E79D-4DCC-B8AC-ECAA6492EAAD.jpg

It looks like you've got 10" shocks which you'll have to make a custom hoop for. Depending on what you plan on using the truck for, getting 8" shocks can make your install be smoother.

So like one of the hoop setups that Total Chaos has on their site?

The hoops are for 8" secondary bypass shocks. @Dalandser is saying you need to cut off the top of coil bucket and make a hoop that is a few inches higher to accommodate the longer shocks.

I'm only interested in your old Lt shocks at the moment.
