I will gladly buy an OR or a Sport if you can show me where to get one in Voodoo Blue...

Also, I wanted an out of the truck DONE truck, suspension wise. and the other offerings didn't fulfill my desires in the suspension spectrum.

So tell me, how is it being helpful AT ALL to be a full on d-bag just because you don't like the color choice?

Thanks for your input bro... :jerkoff:

I don't get the why so funny aspect of "wanting" to have a specific make/model vehicle but to each is own. To answer your question specifically tho of why not an SR5... well, because I want a Pro. The real question is why is it a problem for you that I want a Pro?

In the same boat, dealers want to take my deposit but no rock solid evidence that I'd be getting what I want. Kind of like pre-ordering a video game, don't make sense. I just put the word out to the local dealers to call me if they see one coming in, if not I'm not holding my breath.

I would just be patient and keep searching and reaching out to dealers via email telling them exactly what you want. As others have stated Toyota produces their trucks in runs so sometimes you are stuck waiting for the color you want. MGM was available when I started looking so I waited two months for the Cements to start rolling in.

There was a Pro exactly like you wanted at my local dealership for like $2300 under MSRP. Just looked and its no longer available.

I say just order it exactly how you want it from the dealer that quoted you the price you're happy with. That's what I did, placed the order the week before thanksgiving, picking it up from the dealership on January 3rd. Regardless of which route you take, seems to me that you're going to have to wait, so you might as well order it exactly how you want it and get it delivered to you.

This was my plan, unfortunately as of now you actually can not order the truck I want.

They (Toyota Corporate) are not currently accepting any orders for TRD Pro trucks with Manual Transmissions at this time. I saw the email from Toyota Corporate with my own eyes. Hopefully this will change, but as of now you simply can't even order that particular configuration.

I am in contact with 6 different dealerships (both in my area and outside my area) and they have all reported back that they can not place the order I am trying to place at this time.

First, no problem for me just you, I have the truck I want. Long story short, but multiple dealers in NH had this truck on the lot - not sure where you got problem from. Oh, maybe cause I attacked, god forbid, the Almighty exclusive special ProBro :crapstorm:?... However, not directed at you, but it does make me laugh that folks want a Pro so badly. It cannot haul more, has the same performance numbers, same engine, same rear-diff as OR, and I HIGHLY doubt it could get more places than a stock OR.

So for $10,000 more you get (I got my Sport MT for 32,400 and OR's were pretty much the same price)
    - Fox shocks ~$1,300
    - Leather Katzkin - ~$1,500.00
    - A "exclusive" color for ~ a year
    - Black rims ~$720.00
    - Different plastic grill ~$100.00
    Total: $3600.00

No if was offered with, lets say...
1.) more powerful engine option (turbo, super charge, you name it)
    2.) a exclusive bad ass transmission and/or beefier rear-dif
3.) maybe a front locking dif
    4.) better armor

Of course this would be probably more than $10,000... Overall, enjoy your truck when you get.

Thanks for the breakdown but money ain't an issue for me in this situation so I'm the guy who would want the "Pro" just to say that's the one I got, no more no less. I always try to get the top dog in the class. Putting deposit down and just waiting it out. Whatever.

One thing I have seen is that there is a sizable group of people on TW who just hate the PRO or just can't wrap their heads around why people buy them, (even though a lot of the time the answer is as simple as "I just want a Pro and it's My money..." lol)

Stick to what you want, hopefully it is something they CAN order for you and you will eventually get what you want (no matter what that is!)

I agree a lot, it seems like a lot of people on here take way to much offense when someone is looking to get a Pro. I ordered mine for the simple reason of wanting one and I'm gladly waiting for it to be delivered ... Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what they want to get with their own hard earned money. If you can offer insight on helping them to get what they want, go ahead. But if all you're going to do is bash their decision on what they want, then your opinion should be left out of the conversation.

300 miles is not across the country. We drive 230 miles each way, once a month just for shopping and Dr appointments. I Once bought a vehicle this way to. Negotiated price and trade over the phone (negotiating power is yours because they don't know who else you are talking to), had the salesman send me the final negotiated numbers in an email. Then drove the trade in one way and picked up the new vehicle (2010 FJ). You should be able to do 300 miles, there and back, in a day.

Was a fun trip and enjoyed the roadtrip home.

... and I would do that (not a huge deal) however the price given to me here and a 2mo wait is 45.5. The price from the dude that had one coming in was 47.5, personally... the 2k is worth the wait and I don't have to deal with all the extra associated costs... but I hear you.
