is there a metalic noise when braks applied? does the brake pedal push back when applied?

is it a slow pulse or quick pulse? Does it change with the speed of the vehicle?

Could be the ABS kicking in.

I curse the 1st Gen ABS. It is an abomination.

    been in mud lately ?

I'll suspect you have some issue with the ABS sensors.
could be they're dirty and aren't working properly.

Do you feel it on a dry roadway...
or in slippery conditions, ie: ice, snow, wet, off road ?

It's still possible to be warped brake rotors...
But first you need to offer more detail as to when/where this
    braking issue occurs !?

anti lock brakes really suck off road, on ice or other slippery conditions.

IMO... they're only good for a panic stop... on a dry surface
and designed for folks that aren't very efficient at using brakes.

I'm happy to not have that crap :)

I think I bought my truck one year too late.

I've thought about ripping it out but not sure on the legal ramifications. I'm sure it doesn't really work as intended with the 33s I'm running. It would be nice to have the space for the big ARB compressor.
