    Well anyway, I'd be one to watch how he gets it going again. It will be a lot of work but I will sure learn a lot. Hopefully you will have a thread as the progress goes. :)

    The guys are right, any insurance co. will total it. Every thing will have water in it from the trans to the rear, brakes, electrical etc seals keep oil in not water out. If the air box has water in it so does the engine a running engine ingesting water is going to lock it up and bend or brake some thing. Pull the plugs and see if will turn over if it does check the compression if one or two are low it's bent or broken a rod not uncommon after a hydro lock. Had a friend whose wife locked up her MB in a flood it sheared a connecting rod off as neat as if it was cut with a saw.
