It is so weird seeing the underside of a truck with no surface rust.

Really? I thought it was so weird that someone owned a box wrench.

I usually buy combination wrenches in sets, then I have 2 sets of gearwrenches. I like boxwrenches.

I like the gear wrenches. I have Gear wrench and Craftsman, and I think the Gear wrench ones are better.

Maybe mine are Craftsman. I don't recall, Sears had a great sale on them.

Okay maybe I am crazy, but I can barely ever remember seeing them in a garage before.

    You guys are the best.!!!!
I didn't see the replies till now; I got them off with vice grips on the top till I had to move to the shaft (with boot pulled down)
The rear leafs were a PITA to remove, but after struggling for a while, and a few smoke breaks, I got them off.
Tomorrow I am going to install my new Dakar’s with one leaf removed and N182 shocks. I hope I have the clearance from the ground to slide them in there; I should have lifted the frame higher off the ground!
I will be driving the truck for a week with the new Dakar’s till the front Radflo coil-overs and Camburgs arrive.

Hey Chris, i have noticed this before - How come i have seen some people with the boot on the bottom and i have seen some like yours with the boot on the top?

Is there an up and down to the shock? It would seem to me that either some people have them installed wrong or it doesn't really matter. I have seen most with the boot at the top like in your picture below.
