I have a 17 Tacoma 4x4 and its time to upgrade the suspension. I do moderate wheeling in the mountains and deserts of Southern California, and I also camp anywhere on public land/national parks here in California.

Then main thing that bothers me is how bouncy it gets when wheeling and driving at 20 mphs on rough desert/rocky roads.

Would a Icon stage 1 be good enough for what I do. Another thing too is I'd like to stay at the 1100 lb payload or increase it slightly.

My budget is $3k for tires and suspension and I plan on getting 33s. I'm up for spending more if it makes sense as well.

    Thank you
