So I changed out the clock spring/spiral cable a few days ago and everything has been fine...until about 40 minutes ago. I was backing out of my driveway and the airbag light turned on, then the steering locked up somewhat, and then when I pushed the wheel a little farther left it popped and now anytime I turn there's a ratcheting sound coming from the steering wheel. Also, the speed is limited by the ABS... it won't let me go over 10MPH without a crazy amount of ABS kicking in and stopping the truck. Is it just a bad spiral cable or is there something else going on? I pulled apart the steering wheel to see if any wires were disconnected-and they're all intact.

Did you install a oem clock cable or a eBay cheapie? Did you also plug the vsc back in that is connected to the clock cable? When you installed did you make sure the steering wheel was centered and when you removed the wheel did you mark it and install in the same position?

I bought it from Partsgeek... I believe it was around $80 (Probably a cheapie). All the other stuff was done correctly.

You just answered your own question. If everything was done correctly! It has to be the cheap cable.

Went and pulled one off a Prius today... fits and seems to work now. Surprised the airbag light didn't need to be reset.
