Yes it does matter that he is 4x4. If you think he was looking at the EMU lift then you can get them from toytec for $699. Then whatever discount code you can find. Then you could use the rest of the money for something else he wants for his truck.

I would suggest going to toyteclifts.com and buy everything in one shot. They have a discount code for this site so you will be able to pay for shipping via the discount.

First item to buy is this . Make sure to select Dakar leaf pack as youre rear lift option. Also make sure to select light racing upper control arm.

Once you have made both selections just dump it into your cart and you are set. That will give you a great lift and nothing to worry about in the future.

Hopefully the vendor from toytec will see this thread and shoot you a discount code. Or it might be under his vendor listing on the main page.

    Good luck with the purchase.

Thank you!! I love that you really did spell it out for me! This is exactly what I am looking for! lol

When you said the leaf pack, it also reminded me that my husband had his TSB done in the back... will that matter as well?

No the leaf pack I detailed will replace what he has entirely with something better. This means no blocks.

How hard are these to install? Should I also be looking into how much it cost for someone to do it for him? Or will he most likely be able to put it in with a few of his friends? Do they come with detailed instructions?

Just noticed, if you click the hyperlink for toytec in my 4th line it will bring you to their page on this forum. The first thread is the discount code. Click that thread and the code you need to enter is on the first post.

They can be installed with a couple friends given they have some mechanical knowledge. They come somewhat assemebled as is and are meant to be a direct bolt on replacement. I would suggest that he goes to the build threads on this forum and they have picture by picture instructions of the installs. If not your local shops can instlall these lifts in a couple hours. That price would depend on their hourly rate.

Your husband and his friends should be able to do everything themselves in a few hours with some beer, except for the upper control arms which are kind of a pain. How mechanically inclined is your hubby?

We can do beer and food! :) My husband is pretty good at this stuff... but he is such a perfectionist, so it may take all day! lol

K here is what it is looking like so far. The top one is complete.. and the last two items would needed to be added together. Which one is better? The top lift or the second one with the upper control arms added in? The difference was like 300.00. (Hopefully you can see it... I know its a bit blurry from the picture being made smaller.)

I think he would like the OME set-up better. Bc the toytec coilovers are just over priced for what they are and they will ride stiffer then the OME's.

and you save some mullah... I also think he would be even happier if you threw in some 285's and wheel spacer's... :D
