I am about to order an OME suspension kit from Wheelers for my 2003 double cab.

I have a jack, jack stands, sockets, wrenches and one 3/8" socket breaker bar. No air tools.

Am I going to regret trying to work on a clean truck (no rust underneath) with just hand tools?

Does anyone have access to shop space with a lift and tools near Oakland? I am afraid that if I do the work in the garage from 1926, the truck will be too tall to drive out afterwards.

Swapped my lift prob 6 times with just hand tools. A compressor and impact help a lot but not necessary.

All I've ever done it with is hand tools. Only recently have I used an impact wrench, but that really only helps for a couple of the bolts. It's pretty straight forward and if there is no rust you should be good to go.

You should be alright, I have an impact wrench but it was too big to fit in the tight spaces when installing the lift anyway. Just buy some piping to use as a breaker bar on your wrench for some of the bolts and spray the hard brake lines with pb blaster.

I used only hand tools. Had air tools sitting in the garage and didn't bother opening the box. Its a pretty simple job and goes quickly.

Get some penetration lube and spray the nuts and bolts you need to remove a few times before you start.
