At the moment i'm sitting on a 3in lift and have 285/75 r16s. I want to move to up in tire size but don't know the best way to go about it. I have Icon extended travel remote res coilovers and Icon uniball UCAs. In the rear i have icon 2.0 remote res shocks and Alcan +1 8 leaf leaf spring set. i have after market Moto Metal wheels that are 16x8. What is the best way to prepare for a jump up in tire size? I want to move up to 35s or something similar and stay with the same wheels. Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thanks all!

    Yes sir
Well for starters you will want to re-gear if you go up to 35's. Most guys go with a 4.56 gear ratio. You're also going to rub with your current lift, however if you remove your front mud flaps and either trim the front bumper or remove it and replace it with an aftermarket front bumper which won't contact your tires, I think you would be able to run 35's.

Get ready to trim your bed sides too. Or put flared fenders on to clear then

Haha not really, that's just the size of rims you have. Do you tires stick out past your fenders currently? If they don't you'll probably want spacers, if they stick out you probably won't need them.

I say a lot of stupid shit my bad lol. I have no backspacing. I just want my truck to sit a little higher so i can stuff 35s in there and not have them rub too much. I dont know where to go from here though

Wait are you talking about wheel spacers or coil spacers? Cause actually I don't think you'll want wheel spacers either, they'll make you rub more I believe.

As for your current 3" lift, it's going to be really tight in there with your current lift, 35's can be done but you have to trim a lot and you'll want to get that front bumper first I think.

You'll want to re-gear to 4.56 as well.

    Cab mount chop.

Maybe just read through this: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/35s-and-3-inch-lift-on-2nd-gen.123698/

I don't want to deter you from 35's, but expect a lot of work to get them to fit properly. You gotta do it right from the beginning, especially for wheeling off road but also for just on pavement, if you hit a pothole with 35's stuffed under your current set up it won't feel too good.
