My rear springs are sagging as I have a read is a common issue. The aid I am needing is to decide what spring is best to fix and yet meet my needs. First I need it to hold up to towing a camper (hybrid). I don't mind a mild lift 1-2". I have a prerunner so I don't off-road to extreme, just an occasional cow path. I have read through many a posts and read that the dakar springs may be the ticket, but worried about them holding up to the weight of a camper. So any ideas? I have read and read previous posts, but the kicker part is the towing of the camper. Thanks in advance for your help.

On my 2000 I installed new stock type heavy duty springs with Super Springs it was expensive at the initial out lay but I am so very happy with the results

I pretty much load @ 1000 pounds and tow another 1500 pounds when I use the truck.

Yea, looked at aal but with my current springs being already reversed arched and me rear shackle to the point of pointing towards the rear bumper. I think going this direction would be a bad choice. I want to do this right the first time so at this point to tears are in order and will figure out the rest after that. Thanks the super spring would be great if I were not already in this situation.

Yea I looked at those and read many posts so probably what I am shooting for. Just was worried about the weight and the lift was 2.5" I believe. I am ok with that much lift if they work good with camper, just have no experience with yotas!

Those particular springs are 2nd. gen. main spring backed up with 1974 Chevy truck springs & gives about 3"lift & a gain of roughly 700lbs payload, it'd take 1500lbs to put them near bumpstops...

That's two adults and an eight year old. All the weights in trailer not bed. I'm not sure if I'm figuring this right, but by the posts I should be ok. Maybe not across the country, but 20 minute get away. Does this not sound right?

Yes agreed we pulled it with a Chevy traverse just fine. Just no that the springs after 117xxx are toast with a reverse at. It would be a little much. Although I had a 8x10 trailer on their yesterday with a large snap on tool box, welder, and 50 gallon compressor and it pulled alright but campers little bigger.
