The first thing to try is the WD40 'test' like this guy did https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/finally-killed-that-retched-leaf-spring-squeak.451011/

While only temporary, if it's the springs/bushings it should at least lessen if not stop the sound.

However, the whole 'reverse only' does not make any sense to me if this is the issue. Have you actually looked at the springs? None are broken?

You can try tightening up the ubolts. Don't worry about torque too much, just make them tight, and a pinch more. If they were loose, you'll know it when you start turning them.

How do you know it's not the brakes? Very classic of a rear shoe out of position or a front pad shifting in the caliper.

And as others have said, U joints and center bearing are possibles as well.

Using a dealer for something like this is pricey. Find a quality independent mechanic if you can't DIY.

WD40 will never last more than a few days, or the first rain storm. It's just a testing method.

Read the rest of the thread for solutions that don't involve being pillaged by the dealer.

Try re torque your cam bolts. Mine made that sound going over small bumps and reverse.
