Hey guy's here my problem. I'm doing the drain refill of the transmission (07 tacoma access 4x4). I drained about 3.2 quarts and then put maybe a little more in about 3.75 in because I had spillage so I put a little extra in. At the time I tried the method of using the trucks computer to get the temperature but I had no luck being able to get in that temperature mode. A month later I bought a scan gauge 2 and now can get the transmission temp. So I went to check the level and waited until 115 degrees and took off the overflow plug and fluid started to trickle out but at the higher end of the range 130 degrees about a quart flowed out so my confusion is at what temperature should I go by the 115 or the 130. Thanks

One other observation I'd like to make. My trans temp when at operating temp is 182 to 185 degrees does this sound right. Second thing I noticed was how fast the temperature moves up it doesn't take long at all maybe 10 minutes from 45 degrees to the 115 degrees is that normal? All and all I didn't mention that my transmission has work perfectly from day one I now have 115,000 miles. It's probably the smoothest transmission I ever had. Thanks in advance.
