help with TSB

going to toyota of orlando to try to get them to let me get the tsb. any suggestions of what i should say already printed paper form

 

Just tell them that you have trouble with it bottoming out. I told my dealer that mine bottoms out going over speedbumps with 4 people in the cab. Problem fixed. You shouldn't have much trouble with TSB in hand.

 

tell them in a calm way that you bought the truck for the payload to be as advertised not half of it...and its a saftey concern, also that you need to do some hauling and its a very big concern that your truck will not perform the way it is supossed to

 

Just tell them about the TSB and if they can't find it (which my dealer couldn't), give them a copy. They ordered the parts right off of the TSB I gave them. You shouldn't have any problems.

This may seem silly, but I really like leaning over the side of my bed now.We usually stand around and talk like this. It hits me where a fullsize does. Kinda nice.

 

well it wont hit me like that im 18 and 6ft 3in tall

 

Yea, you may need a little more lift for that. I'm only 5'10"

 

lol yah 3 inch lift after tsb is done

 

From what i've read it lifts it about 1-1.5 inches in the rear and .5 inch in the front. Different people have reported different measurments. I forgot to take mine beforehand .

 

i will take mine tomorrow morning what should i measure bumber to ground front and back?

 

its all covered above. if it still doesnt work call or email toyota and get a case number it helps if they want to br difficult with you. good luck

ok just went in today to get the TSB looked at see if i could get it. they are ordering parts they will be in tonight i will get this done by tomorrow said they will need half a day to do it but yah im APPROVED

 

erm...not the way to go at all. You need to tell them what's HAPPENED already, not some mythical what if's

no i didnt tell them that i went in asked for service manager told him i was hauling some stuff in the truck bed and went over a speed bump and it bottomed out. so i went online to this forum and started looking for things about this and i read the TSB and i was like ok i hope this applies for me. he tried to tell me it only applied for 4x4 but i was like no it says prerunner and my VIN is on the sheet he said ok and whent to check to see if parts were in they werent but he ordered them and will be in tonight will get it done tomorrow

 

im going to ask if my vin is on the sheetb/c my stealership tried to tell my it was only 4x4
