Or the noises it makes as it's constantly hunting gears trying to provide a little power ... or maintain speed.. between 65-75. Garbage powertrain syncing.

Spoken like someone who doesn't own a 3rd gen, even if all that was true, which it isn't, it would still be better then the singing of frozen lifters.

I initially wanted to own a 3rd gen, test drove one a few times but ended up wanting bigger. Then just recently put 1,000 miles on a brand new 22 as a rental. I had heard they fixed the issues with software updates. They didn't. Still garbage. Loved my 2nd gen put almost 200k miles on it but the drivetrain on the 3rd gen was a step in the wrong direction.

1000 miles is still well within the ecu learning period. Try using the skinny pedal it really helps.

Build and price went live for the Colorado today. ZR2 loaded up will be about $51,120 which has everything but the $1,000 sunroof. Prices competitively against a TRD Pro. Curious to see the Canyon pricing. Factory lift across board makes the AT4 with premium package an interesting buy. I will definitely test drive one but no manual makes it a tough sell.

I built an LT with some options to 38.xxx. Not too bad, lacking some key options, but overall pretty close. 310 HP and 391 lb/ft. seems nice enough to make me overlook the lacking power sliding rear window lol.

It’s funny how aggravating trucks are. My Tacoma has the power slider but no remote lock tailgate standard, only accessory not part of package. Colorado can’t get power slider but a ZR2 can come with ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, and underneath cameras. I feel like Homer Simpson designing a car. I want a horn here, here, and here.

I’m more excited for the Canyon than Colorado though. Standard HO motor and factory lift across the board.

Right there with ya. I added the lock to my tailgate. I also prefer the canyon over the 'Rado.

I'm just pricing for my own curiosity sake since I am not buying right now anyways. But if I could get a truck I like for mid 40's or lower, I'd be thrilled. That eliminates most trims unfortunately though.

I really dislike how options and packages are done over there. Runs cost way up when I just want something minor. GM is certainly not alone here, just complaining.

Given GM's recent track record with water leaks, I'd rather have the fixed rear window.

I wonder if the next gen Tacoma will get a front locker, like the ZR2 and Gladiator already have.

I would be pretty shocked to see a manual in the next Tacoma.

I missed the boat on this truck being shown. I love the way that At4 looks! Probably going to be my favorite of all the next gen trucks. The new Tacoma better not have that same version of the highlander-powered 2.4 or it's going to get absolutely smoked by that 2.7.

I forgot about the new AT4. I need to forget about it again. Looks great.

Not really a big deal. The vehicles are being fixed. It's like saying you're not buying a Tacoma due to the class action lawsuit for rusting frames or one of the several other Toyota vehicles involved in the class action lawsuit regarding the sudden acceleration or the class action lawsuit against Toyota for the Denso fuel pumps or any one of the other lawsuits against Toyota listed here: http://www.toyotaproblems.com/models/
