:rasta:I HAVE A 1996 TECOMA 2.4 5-SPEED WITH 135000 MILES. I JUST RETURNED FROM MEXICO WHERE I WAS LIVING FOR 3 YEARS. WHEN I WAS GOING DOWN THERE MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAN ON. THE TRUCK DID NOT SEAM TO RUN ANY DIFFERENT. WELL IN MY LAST 3 WEEKS (DEC 07) THERE IT STARTED TO NOT WANT TO REV AT THE HIGH RPM'S. I TOOK HER TO AUTOZONE AND HAD A SCAN THEY SAID THE O2 AND TEMP SENSORS WERE IN NEED OR REPLACING SO I DID. I ALSO CHANGED THE PLUG WIRES AND CAP AND ROTOR. OH AND ABOUT 3 MONTHS BEFORE I LEFT MEXICO I CHANGED THE PLUGS AND FUEL FILTER. THE TRUCK IS NOW MORE HESITANT TO:rasta: REV TO ABOUT 3200 RPM IN NUETRAL AND ONLY 2200 RPM IN GEAR. I THOUGHT THE FUEL PUMP MIGHT BE SUPPLING NOT ANUFF PRESSURE. I HAVE NOT FOUND A PLACE TO BUY A PRESSURE TESTER. AND SOMEONE TOLD ME IT MIGHT BE THE CAT IS GETTING PLUGED. THEY ALSO SAID IT WAS PROBABLY RUNNING RICH IN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT MODE WHICH COULD PLUG CAT OVER TIME. I HAVE NOT CHANGED PUMP BECAUSE IT IS IN THE TANK A BITCH JOB TO DO. SO I'M IN NEED OF SOME GOOD ADVICE. THANK U BROTHERS AND SISTERS:confused: :rasta:

Does it ever stall? I don't know, and have nothing for you. I'm sure someone in TW will know something, though. Give it a little while.
    Welcome to TW.

I'd also take a look at your Mass Air Flow....could be the problem.

betting on mass air flow or cat... have had both of them go out before with similar results but usually the mass airflow would make the truck hesitate then fall on its face... even back fire... cat just makes truck act like me leaving a all you can eat buffet...kinda slow and lumbering along LOL my guess out of the two from your description would be cat since it has a direct connection to the O2 sensors
