I'm solving problems one at a time and new wheels are the first thing on the list.

Where would you go to buy a set of four wheels - NOT FLASHY! Utilitarian. Modest/Mid Priced. I'm done being status conscious, so I'm not springing for bling, no sir!

But someone here probably has a selection of available wheels for my '98 V6 4x4. Who would you recommend?

    Thanks Front Range!

Yah I was gonna say to find some take-offs on craigslist. I sold mine for $200 a year or so ago.

Here's a dumb question: if I've got 15" rims on it with a 6 bold pattern, what complications would I be looking at if I went up to 16" or 17" rims? (Aside from new tires, of course.) Would things not fit? I'm currently running 31x10.5x15 on it.

No issues going up in wheel size. You can easily adjust final dimensions by buying a shorter sidewall tire if you want to stay at a 31" equivalent on 16- or 17-inch wheels.

Edit: Pay attention to offset/backspacing though as an aggressive move either inward or outward can lead to rubbing/contact issues while turning or during compression while offroading.

Not sure what your budget is, but FN wheels and SCS wheels have some very nice options specifically designed for Toyotas.

I have the original 15" alloys for the 1995-00 4x4 TRD wheels.

    If you're interested.
