Hey quick question. Thinking of doing a headlight mod.

Can the housing be painted with plasti dip or will this not work? Also my truck is magnetic gray and i figured this would look better than painting it black. Any pics or suggestion?

A lot of people (not as many as those who paint the housing black) color match their housing to their body color. I would not use plasti dip since it's going to be a permanent mod you might as well use a good spray paint and not have to deal with issues from heat and cold unless you plan on returning the housings to chrome sometime - probably a lot of work for something no one would notice when you sell it anyway if that's why you were thinking of plasti dip. Go for it though - it looks good when done right. Search a little and I bet you'll find pics.

If you're opening up your headlights, why not do it right the first time?

I agree.. i love plastidip. But it's not a great choice for inside headlights.

Seriously that's a lot of work I remember. I went with ebay lights the second time around but they kind of stink in the reflector department - I have light scattered all over the place. Time for some pics ;)
