can you please explain the process of making that skid plate? I'm about to try making my own as well but I'm not sure if I should use a self-tapping screw, or maybe just jb weld the plate to the bottom of the jack. Also debating keeping the wheels or not

Basically used 0.125" thick Aluminum sheet. Set the jack on top of the sheet and trace around it. Leave the two ends long, maybe an extra two inches. You will bend these up later so it can slide on the dirt and not dig in.
Cut the plate out. I used a jig saw with a makeshift fence as a guide. File the edges clean. Hit it with an electric sander to give it a jitterbug appearance (optional). Lay the plate on the jack and draw and a line on the plate that will hit the centers of each side where it will be screwed to. Drill the holes in the plate then counter sink for the screws. I think I used M4 SS machine screws. Once you have all the holes drilled, line it up with the bottom of the jack. Drill and tap the holes in the jack. Attached the plate to the jack then bend up the front and rear of the plate. Done

What did you do to mate the 1.5 ton to the proeagle pad thingy. I have all the parts, but the HF center doodad for the 1.5 ton is too small to mate with the proeagle pad.

I started thinking about cutting the center of the HF pad out and grafting it into the proeagle pad lol

    A washer.

Thinner the better. Had to use a step bit and a block of wood to drill the fuck out if it.

yeah I found a 5/16" fender washer (or something along those lines) fits the proeagle thingy and drilling it would make it fit, but I was having a hard time drilling it without mangling it lol. I bought a milwaukee cordless drill last week since my old crappy corded had a lot of runout for another project, so maybe I'll have to give this one another shot. Or maybe a few more shots haha.

I was also worried about it being super thin and failing, but I guess theres not really a whole lot of bending action going on that would cause that failure

It's just so the pad isn't flopping around. 3 screws to hold the washer to the wood in a triangle pattern worked well.

Here the product on McMaster Carr's website:

Tried the screws but could have been operator error. I should just tack weld it to a scrap piece of metal and then go at it like an ape with the drill, then cut it back off

    I'm surpriaed
I'm surprised that it's not too thick. I tried a fender washer first and couldn't get it to fit (the centerpiece was lifted too high for the crossbar pin to go through straight).

well I guess I haven't tried the thickness yet because I couldn't drill it without destroying it. The OD of the washer at least fit the ID of the proeagle pad. I guess I could sand it down if its too thick, but that sounds tedious. might end up just ordering the shims, since that seems liek a lot less headache

Washer I found at home Depot had to have the OD shaved down but then it was too thick where the pin wouldn't line up. Solve one problem, another one appears.

Exactly. The shims are nice in that they're flexible. Just drop 1 or 2 in at a time, tap it down with a hammer, check fitment, and add as necessary. I think I have four shims in there.
