    any issues with the cams or lining up the tic marks during the install? seems pretty straight forward from the instructions (good pictures provided in them)

    No problems. It's either TDC or 180. Line up the marks, mark the link that corresponds to the notch in the cam gear, line up the mark in the new cam gear with the painted link. Pretty straight forward.

    I did have the cam on the passenger side spin on me after I removed the cam gear. I guess the lifter was sitting on the lobe just right and the valve spring wanted to release a little pressure... lol

    Luckily, I left the big wrench that I'd used to hold the cam in place while removing the cam gear on the cam. It stopped the cam spinning when it hit the head and stayed in place. If not, being a novice, I would not have been sure I got it back to where it needed to be.
