    Alright. Here goes.

37x12.5x17 Cooper Pros on Jegs Steelies with Total Metal Innovations weld on beadlocks.

I already did a 1” body lift and the Red Goat Fab cab mount relocate to help fit the 37s.

I still have a bunch of cutting and tubbing to do...

I bashed my bed in Moab. I dragged and hit my HC rear bumper on big stuff in Moab. I decided that I wanted to build a flatbed and bob the frame in Moab :D

I started uploading a bunch of pictures to do a detailed description of the build. I got bored almost immediately.

    So here’s the short version.

I’m building a flatbed. I bobbed the frame. Truck, including the removal of the rear bumper, is now 15” shorter.

The rear is out because I broke two ring gears in a month. I have a Dana 60 being built by ECGS. It’s supposed to ship this week.

I cut the Mohawk Fab traction bar mounts off. @stairgod has generously (read reluctantly) offered to help me get the traction bar properly setup on the new Dana 60.

My Mother asked me what I had left to do to my truck via text a couple of days ago.

    This was my reply

“Put the rest of the flatbed together, wire the lights, install the rear axle, tub the front so the 37s fit, new Supercharger tensioner, new master cylinder, new shifters for the transfer case (I have to cut and weld them to work), seal the hole in the floor for the shifters, new Supercharger nose coupler, clean paint and undercoat the frame front bumper and skid plates, fix some old wiring that's no longer being used,

That's all I can think of right now.”

After this round, I REALLY need to just Wheel the truck and leave it alone for a while.

TBH, I’m kind of burnt out...

Thank you. I have to give credit where it’s due. I wouldn’t have thought a square tubing flatbed made in this style would look good before I saw @SMKYTXN ‘s.

I totally stole his style and tweaked it fit my needs.

Ha! Thanks Mike. I’m stoked as well.

For the finished product anyway. I’m not that crazy about doing the rest of the work...

Alright, I found a little ambitioun. A couple people have expressed interest in more details of the flatbed-ing process.

I used 1.5x3” x 1/8” wall tubing laid flat to build off from.

I knew I wanted the spare tire under the deck. This meant that I could follow the taper of the frame with the base. otherwise, the 37 would not fit between the uprights.

    405BDFDB-1940-4F9E-9FB9-2E43C9540BE3.jpg

The bed pucks from the 1” body lift were perfect to clear the hump in the frame.
    D83095D9-6E9D-4193-8F51-8C69BA23B023.jpg

I sleeved the mounting holes with these hex couplers l had.

My hole saw was dull, so I used it to mark the hole and just used the plasma to cut them out.
    9649F054-0E3F-41A7-BE0C-ABC0F46E1AB7.jpg

I offset the rear holes to kick out the base to fit the spare between the uprights.

Why you should never plasma barefoot...

I'm done with flatbeds. I am selling mine and that's it, sticking with stock beds with HC bumpers from now on. But yours looks mighty useful

The rest of the trailer is built from 1.5” x 1/8” wall tubing and 1/5” x 1/8 wall angle.

I know I could’ve done more miters. Honestly, for this build, I’m not worried about the small details. It’s beung built to drag across trees an md rocks.

It was also easier for me, since the base is tapered, to get everything “square” without messing with a bunch of miters. The plasma makes cutting out caps pretty quick.

    On the subject of miters...

@Chux would have you believe that, to me, miters are a foreign concept. He’s one of those “overlanding” types I’ve heard. So...

    :boink:

I’m quite familiar with the concept
