Ha! My lease has been up for three years.

They do keep calling to try to get me to trade it in. I told them I was pretty sure they wouldn’t want it.

    This post made my day

We had a 6speed turbo mini countryman that was leased and we returned it with a non recycling BOV.... 1st and inky car I've ever leased and I was scared shitless that they were going to charge us to remove it...

I bought a new Mini JCW In 09. That was a surprisingly quick little car with a meth kit and tune.

I had a BOV on that for a short time until I found out that they were actually counterproductive on that particular engine. I forget why now.

The tube would actually flutter the
wastegate to keep boost up between shifts.

Sounded pretty cool with the CAI sucking from the cowl.

It was a fun car. That was my first and only turbo. It’s been almost ten years now, so I honestly don’t remember all the details anymore. Was a fun project for sure.

    Fuel filler.

Simply unbolted, rotated up, boxed in with angle, fender edging on angle where it contacts the filler, round angled spacer welded in at frame.

1/8 plate deck. Welded recessed pans up front.

The rest of the deck is bolted down with 1/4 20 stainless button heads with plenty of tie downs. For my intended use there’s no reason to recess the bolt heads.

The toolbox lid opens through the deck as you can see.

    Frame bob and “bumper”

I cut the frame off flush with the beefy crossmember that @stairgod made for me a couple of years ago.
    FF218512-0874-49FF-AD4D-244A4ED84ABC.jpg

Plasma’d out a hole for the receiver hitch and sunk it into the 2x3 1/4” wall new bumper that I mitered to weld to the crossmember. Then added shackle mounts.

Tow plug bracket. Figure it’s as well protected as possible above that shackle mount.

Two questions. Where you find them shackle mounts for the bumper? And did you go with the 12.5 tyres or the 13.5?
