Yeah the only person I "need" permission from is my daughter and she loves camping and wheeling and want's the truck more capable so we can do more. So when I say hey you want to go camping or wheeling she grabs the keys and wonders why it takes so long to get ready to go or packed.

Nice build. And I lol'd at your regear thread, linked in the beginning of your build. Haha. Very entertaining.

I am worried about mine when the time comes guess I'll pull the front spacers as that may help a little I already rub the fender and firewall a bit with them on and flexing the suspension. I just hate having one axle wider than the other it looks goofy to me I just need spacers in the rear to clear my shocks. Ugh the compounding mods to get it to where you want it.

I think I am going to talk to ECGS about a D60 for the rear with an E-locker of some brand I just don't like the thought of all the possibilities of a failure with air. Also would like one that's closer to 2nd gen tundra width that way I can ditch the spacers. You still running 4.88s? Wondering if 5.29s is a possibility I've been toying with the idea of them and just loosing some hwy speed. Since the tire and wheels are getting heavier and the truck is too any more torque multiplication would be nice.

I only have spacers in the front so the steelies clear the calipers. The wheel studs are too long in the rear to run the same size spacer without cutting them down. I don’t see any reason to cut them if I don’t even need a spacer back there.

You should look into the OX locker if you go with a 60. It can be actuated by air, electric, or a cable.

They also sell a “Drive Away Lock” for it. That allows you to screw it in and manually lock the OX right at the cover. So, if you do have an issue with whichever method of actuation you choose, you can still have a locker.

Do you have any links to the cowl intake from here? I did a REAL quick search on my phone (at work) and this is where it led me. Or if you know the title of the thread? I've seen things about cowl leaking and 1st gen stuff.

Once again. Full lock, on the bump stops, with the truck leaning to the that side.

Did you account for the different profile of the tire when aired down?

C’mon James! Haven’t you ever heard the old joke? “It’s only flat on the bottom”.

Seriously though. We cut out as much as we were going to cut. There was no more room for accounting for anything else.

If it DOES rub a little, and I don’t believe it will, it’s smooth anywhere it would.
