    Hi,

I'm a new member to this forum. I just moved to Canada from the United Kingdom.

I've been looking at purchasing a Tacoma since I decided to move here. I found this site while looking for ideas on what Tacoma to purchase, and what I should look out for.

I hope to get some good advice over the next couple of weeks before I go out and spend my money.

And then probably more advice on what mods to put on it afterwards (hopefully the wife won't stumble onto this site!).

    Regards.

    Mark

    Glad to hear it.

Maybe I can get some of you to persuade the wife that she also needs a Tacoma, rather than the (dare I mention the word on this site:D) RAV4 she wants.

I had a RAV4 way back when they first came out--at the time Tacos didn't have seats in the back suitable for kids. I've never owned anything but Toyotas--first car was a hand-me-down Tercel from my mom, then a Corolla, then the Rav, then the leased Corolla, then the 2000 Taco, now this one (and these don't even include my husband's Toyotas! LOL!). Had wanted a Taco since I was 18 and finally got one, so now I never have to go back! Tacomas are the best! Feel free to show your wife this post if it will help!

Well, I have been in the UK for 15 years, and really began to hate the place.

People are rude and impatient; the kids are the worst behaved little brats I have seen anywhere in the world; and the place has laws and ways of doing things that should have been changed when they brought in automobiles and electricity. Besides, the country is going down the pan, it just hasn't realised it yet.

I had been to Canada a few times, and really like the country and the people, so I decided to move. Things are taking a while to get sorted out, but everyone has been very helpful, and I have absolutely no regrets.

Mark,as you poke around here a bit you will find that there is a prestigious organization called the "Northern Alliance"....This group has been formed to protect the good TW name from the unfortunate boil on the arse of the world known as the "CA".

Please accept this invitation to join the mighty "NA" and rid this online community of this scourge of drunken Hillbilly Carolinans and thier sympathizers..

Thanks for the invite. I accept your invitation to join the "NA".

I can't say I actually know anyone from Carolina (and I probably don't really have anything against them); but as I'm not in the UK anymore, I've got to have someone to hate;).

The only thing I know about Carolina, is what I saw in "Deliverance"; so I have just been looking up Carolina on Wikipedia. There seems to be more than one of them, and they don't seem to get along with each other. They even disagree on how to barbeque pork.

Anyway, how do they get on the internet, not having electricity and all:D!
