Then from the sounds of it you should be fine with it. Check out the Slee jack IIRC. I think just the 54" will do you fine

I did the 60", you never know who you will be wheeling with. Plus the terrain is never flat when your tire needs to be changed.

    x2 on the 60 inch

The longer length gives you a better pull distance when using the jack as a come-along.

In search of the perfect Taco: Standard transmission, Double Cab, 6ft box. Not available in Canada, but rumored to be in the US.
I know this is a really old thread, but was wondering about what size of high lift to get myself. They have 48" Hi Lift Extremes on sale, but that seems abit too short. However the 60" seems like it might be too much.

Whats the optimal length overall length for a taco with 3" lift?

Like the thread was saying, variables come in to play,
    1. terrain i.e. ground level and compostion
    2. who you are wheeling with
    3. comfort- you cant go wrong with a 60in its better to have
a higher lift that having a short one and not being able to get that tire off.

shop around always seeing deals on those high-lifts.
