Hello All! I just picked up my taco and ready to put it to work. My reasons for getting the truck is so I can tow my 240sx to WSIR from San Diego. Going through Los Angeles took its toll on my track car so I decided to get a truck thats powerful enough and good on the MPG(yeah yeah i want my MPG toyota commercial lol). I'm basically here to meet fellow taco owners and get knowledge dropped on me about towing and tacoma facts and stuff.

Off Subject of intro : Couple of my v8 friends say I cant tow my 240sx? I know its probably a frequently asked question but can my taco (that came with at towing package v6 blah blah) tow a 2800lb car with a car trailer?

Oh and i'll post pictures of my taco soon!

I look at it this way..your V6 has the same power as a Chevy V8 had in their 1/2 ton pickups back in the 80's-90's, AND you truck is lighter. How much stuff did you see them Chevys hauling around in those days. I hope you read Mav's supreme thread on towing, it's truly our goto here.

Welcome to TW, franimal. I think your v8 buddies are in for some enlightenment. You can teach them that we have better style, better economy, and still plenty of power!
