I want to run HIDs in my second gen, but back when I had my 4runner, I had nothing but problems with HIDs, does nobody know a good brand to use? Where I can get them, and aren't crazy amount of money. I am running the stock headlights and fog lights and I want both to match. So any suggestions on installation, a good brand, and where to get them would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Do a retrofit from TRS. They have ongoing group buys on here theres a thread around somewhere.
There are also some LED headlight conversion threads floating around, look for those too if you're interested in going LED instead of HID.

How much does the group buy normally run? And is there a big difference in LED or HID?

The HID projectors look great its what I have but if you are looking for a drop in kit, the LEDs look like they have a better pattern than the HIDs that just scatter light every which way and blind other drivers.

Put these in my wife's Honda and they are great, will be buying for the Tacoma soon.
