Hey guys, just wondering what you recommend with regard to a simple aftermarket bolt on solution for HID drivers, just small to medium lights that I can put onto my rig. I am fearful of attempting a retrofit at this point, I know I'd jack up doing a projector in my housings so I am also considering a simple aftermarket install.

I have had basic stuff in the past, hellas and PIAAs so not sure what is out there that would fit the bill these days. Any recommendations are appreciated. I just want more light on the road and not so much effort to get it. Yeah lazy I know, I just would end up cooking my housings if I tried to bake them and do a retrofit. As much as I would love it, I can't risk it.

Who makes a decent set of 3"-5" HID drivers or pencil beams?

Spend $75-$250 to get a light bar depending on what size you want. That will solve all your lighting problems.

Just wire the ground and positive to a relay or switch and you're done. Simple. HID off-road lights are quickly becoming a thing of the past. And soon, they will be for headlights also.

X2 on a lightbar. Or get a pair of Rigid Duallys. But don't underestimate yourself on doing a projector retrofit. Mini H1s and D2S kits are plug and play. It's so much easier than it looks.

I second that statement. I wrote a pretty detailed write-up on how to retrofit MH1s or Mini D2Ss. While it is a simple process, I laid out everything as clearly as I could.
