so I'm tired of getting flashed driving at night. Has anyone actually counted how many turns they have adjusted their hid headlights down?

Number of turns is irrelevant since no two will be identical. Google the proper way to adjust headlights & do it right. Get 25' from a wall on level ground & the top of your cutoff line should be 34-36" off of the ground or 3-4" below their height to center on the truck. Somewhere in there is the proper measurements but Google to find out the exact procedure & measurements. I then pull up behind parked cars of various heights around the neighborhood to make sure my lights aren't shining into mirrors to make sure I'm not bothering anyone.

A related question: are you factory HIDs or did you just slap some HIDs into your headlights? Depending on how you answer the previous post may be irrelevant.

Yeah I did the just slap an in method, I do have a 17 with the halogen projectors tho. I only have a problem with small cars as oncoming traffic. I just added a taller tire so I figured it would be best to lower them some rather then just be that guy. Personally I am happy with them where they are but I'm not trying to be a jerk about it to others. I would have never put them in if I had the standard reflector halogen headlights. I read how some people lowered their lights after hid installs n i was just wondering how much

Actually you are being a jerk if you do anything other than taking the HIDs out. You can NOT put HIDs in a housing made for halogens which is exactly what you've done. The light is put out in entirely different ways. None of my advice will help you because there's no adjustment for HIDs in a reflector housing. That's not how it works.

Don't take my word for it, search & you'll see hundreds of posts about that on this forum & thousands online. You probably should have done the same search before buying/installing them & you could have saved yourself from making a mistake.

No need to apologize to me but you really should undo that mod immediately because you're blinding other drivers. Not to mention you can get a ticket if a cop sees it.
