I want to upgrade the headlight situation on my 08 regular cab. I would like a bright, clear, white-ish upgrade to the stock bulbs. I want to also install fogs on my stock bumper. From what I'v seen, HID's are the way to go. I would like to know how difficult it will be to install, and if there is a member who sells some sort of package deal that isnt ebay crap. Or, if anyone can recommend a good kit they have installed on their own truck.

    All info appreciated

*Anyone know the oem part number for the fog light wiring harness?*

I installed ddm 35w 3000k hid bulbs in my fog lights. completely plug and play. Easy 20 min install. For your headlight temp I would use 4300k-5000k. Any higher will have a blue tinge

Also should mention to make sure you get the Hi/Low kit. I see lots of cars/trucks with the low only kit and it doesn't always block the lower half of the reflector and blinds everyone on the road. If you look at the pic above you can see that the lower half of the reflector is not lit, that's what I'm talking about.

Thanks a lot for all the info. As far as the fogs go, right now its just the plastic inserts in the bumper. Im guessing Ill need a switch and wiring harness. Anything else I will need for installing the fogs?

And on the ddm website, what bulb type would I want? And would I need HID harness, error code eliminator and adaptor cable?

oh, and i got the regular ballast hid kit, not the slim ballast, i heard the slim ballasts are plastic while the regular ballasts are metal hence why i went that route (they were also cheaper lol)...and i went 35W which is extremely bright, 55 would be overkill unless u plan on going out into the middle of no where for an extended period and i just looked and it seems that they offer mounting brackets for the ballasts which they didnt have when i ordered, so you may want to look into that

Don't have HID's in the truck but put them in my Acura integer spot car last week. Litterly took 3 minutes for the complete install, if you can change a lightbulb in your house you can installl them. I got ddmtuning 5k 35watt and am extremely happy and am planing to order the same for the taco soon.

So if I were to get a set of 35w for the fogs, would I have 4 ballasts total? Just wondering if I can piggyback the headlight ballasts to the fogs.

Yes you would need 4 ballasts. Each HID bulb needs it's own ballast to operate properly.

I just installed mine this weekend they are awsome.. The place I bought mine from was great i had a ballast go bad the day I installed. So I called the company and he replaced it right away. He even overnighted it to me for free.
I would recommend these guys to anyone who asks..
