well ladies and gentlemen, I got the package from DDM to upgrade the fogs to HID. I know some people say that it took them sometimes up to a month to get the package, but mine came in less than a week straight from China lol. it took me about 20 minutes to install them since I installed them through the wheel well housing. tonight, ill let you know about my impressions of them!

I likes mines. Did you go 35w or 55w? I was kinda leary of trying 55w because I figured it'd melt the plastic housing.

I got the 35 watt. I heard people saying there ok, and some saying that it did some housing damage. next on this list are aftermarket projector headlights!

I've got 35 watt 6,000k in mine and I really like them. Just make sure you aim them down so they won't be blinding people. I haven't been bright lighted with mine on yet, and I run them all the time if it's dark.

Will do bama. so I went shead and ordered the 35 watt HID H4's for the headlights to see what they will be like yesterday, and i'll have to wait a week again. I heard there are some problems with glaring when people use the factory headlamps? if this is the cause, then ill buy one of those aftermarket ones with the led's and all that. anyone have any good recommendations as to aftermarket headlights?

Since you have already ordered the kit, give it a try and see how you like it. The stock reflector isn't designed to handle the output of the HID, so you will have a good bit of glare. The best thing you can do if you want different lights is to do a retrofit like I did. There is a link to my build page in my signature. The after market projector headlamps don't very good quality projectors in them, so light output is not very good. Some people don't care though and just like the look of them. Personally, I want light output since I live in the sticks. I want to be able to see the deer I'm about to hit.

It wasn't hard. Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. It will take about 2 days to do, because you have to let things dry overnight like paint and epoxy. I started tearing my truck down on Saturday afternoon and was done by Sunday night.

I just got an email yesterday from DDM saying mine left China yesterday so hopefully they'll be here early next week. I got the 55w 3000k. Should be bright and yellow. I've got the lamin-x yellow covers on my fogs now and love the look and how they perform in the heavy fog we have close to the gulf.
