On the inside of the light housing there is a "sheid" do I need to remove that since the hid bulb comes with a sheild around it?

Lost track many, many mods ago.
I used to have 8000k bulbs but recently switched to 5000k. With the 8000k there was no shield but with the 5000k there was. I left the shield on the 5000k at first but then I took it off and noticed a more spread out and dispersed beam. Totally a preference call. Try it both ways and see what you like.
