I looked inside the projector and I think the cutoff shield looks dislodged. Fml

picture 44 is problem projector and 46 is good projector. Left corner dips down and dissappears but the good one you see it go all the way across.

So I took apart the projector and I managed to get it straight like the other projector. Too late to test it now but I hope it fixes the problem.

I had to do serious fixing to mine. The jiggling light comes because the glass projector is loose in the fiberglass black ring housing. The plastic clamps holding the projector against the trim on one kept it tight. On the other if I shook it I could feel the projector lens jiggling around. I cut off a tiny piece of the fiberglass trim off and wedged it as hard as I could between the pojector lense and the black trim ring. Kept it nice and tight and no issues. The projector high/low shield is horrible. Both were crooked, they looked like ---______----__ instead of --------_________. I had to bend the crap out of the shields to get them straight horizontally and than use heavy duty epoxy on the wire that goes around the motor to make sure that it doesnt shift the projector high/low flap. I put a dap on the wire where it touched the motor to make sure it wouldnt budge. That worked also. Lots of tweaks to make it work. All they need to do is quality control the projecor lens & trim for tight fit and I would say get a better distributor for the high/low flap.

Oh the shrouds need a dab of glue on the pegs also. They will come off of the projector during heavy vibration. The retrofits I bought when I got them from ups one shroud fell off. I ended up cracking both of them open/ blacking them out and gluing the crap out of everything

a silicone based glue will work best as it'll absorb some of the shock. A super hard glue like gorilla will crack

Kinda dumb question for everyone whos done the fx-r Retrofit when putting on the gatling shroud there is supposed to be a small gap inbetween that and the headlight bowl right?

Yes, I feel your pain. I have done several retros and when I tried to tackle the (supposed nicer looking) Gattling Gun Shrouds they did not slide in as smoothly as the Apollo Shrouds. I have since just put those on the back burner. Really don't want to dremel anything right now. You would think that they would be made to fit just like the Apollo Shrouds that fit like a glove on the projector (however you still need some glue as I found out via UPS).

    :D

Heres a thought......just black out everything including the bowls that way you don't have the reflective light. A little extra work but a Murdered Out set looks Badass. :D
